So where does all the money go that we raise? We have always held helping our communities at the heart of everything we do at the Farndon Soapbox Derby. Below, you can see exactly who has benefitted from the fantastic Farndon Soapbox Derby!
2022 - the farndon primary school
The Farndon Soapbox Derby team were thrilled to present the Farndon Primary School with a cheque for £850 as a contribution towards the new Sensory Room that will benefit all pupils.
2022 - the holt primary school
Thanks to the enormous success of our community fundraising event, the Wellbeing Ambassadors of the HOLT CP SCHOOL were delighted to receive a cheque for £850 from the Farndon Soapbox Derby!
2022 - the FARNDON MEMORIAL HALL
We're thrilled to share the joy of giving back to our wonderful community. This time, we had the privilege of presenting a cheque to the Farndon Memorial Hall, supporting their fantastic initiatives. It's heartwarming to witness the positive impact on our community, and we're proud to be a part of it.
WHO WE were able to help in 2023
The 2023 Farndon Soapbox Derby community fundraising event raised an incredible £47,500 thanks to the generous support of local families, local businesses and kind-hearted individuals. This meant that we were able to help even more worthy causes - AND we had a lot of fun with Captain Jack Sparrow who kindly offered to leave the Black Pearl and present the cheques!
2023 - Holt - under 5’s
A brilliant photo of one of the local causes we have the pleasure to support after last year's fantastic event. Presenting the cheque on the 1st March (St David's Day) of £950 to Holt Under 5's, was Captain Jack Sparrow himself!
2023 - the holt primary school
The children from Holt Primary School were absolutely delighted that Captain Jack had visited them to hand over a cheque for the sum of £250!
2022- passion for learning
Passion for Learning was founded in August 2011 and from the outset, the intention was to train and support community volunteers to use play and enrichment to provide valuable 1:1 support to primary school children helping them to fulfil their true potential. The Farndon Soapbox Derby are delighted to support this wonderful initiative.

Helping to keep the beautiful village of Holt in full bloom all year round, the Farndon Soapbox Derby was more than happy to present a cheque for £300 to these wonderful green-fingered friends!

2023 - Kelly’s kitties and k9’s!
Kelly single-handedly runs a non-profit animal rescue organisation that helps hundreds of feral/stray or abandoned animals and we were delighted to help! Keep up the good work Kelly!

2023 - THE kenyon hall, holt
The Kenyon Hall in Holt was also presented with a cheque for £300 which we hope will go a long way towards the upkeep of this wonderful facility.

The Farndon Soapbox Derby was once again delighted to support the wonderful ladies who manage the Farndon Memorial Hall which is a fantastic asset for the community in the village!

And after all the hard back-breaking work of presenting cheques and handshakes to such wonderful community initiatives, worthy causes and village assets… we treated him to a manicure at Holt’s very own award-winning beauty salon, THE SECRET SPA!
